Alright. I have a blog, now.
Listen, this post is kind of just me learning the ropes of the software... So don't expect anything profound. Everything you're about to read may very well be completely meaningless, or maybe not, if that insecurity is something that's particularly relatable to you.
Why start a blog? Absolutely everyone is asking - all zero people on this page! Question of the hour, to be sure, and yet the answer is simple.
It comes down to three things, broadly. The first?
I've realized I need an outlet to write about things that interest me, and an ability to connect with more people on those topics.
Secondly, the very act of positing various ideas online should strategically align and strengthen this core value of mine — to always be learning! After all, when questions come to mind, I'll need to be researching to present some potential answers. It's time to dig just a little deeper.
And last, seeing as I’ve wanted to dive into content creation more fully for the past two years but have been too scared to do so, I see it as an important step toward taking that plunge — head-first into my fears — rather than simply chipping away at them.
Importantly, I see many scenarios where there's nothing wrong with chipping away at things you'd like to improve upon. I think that both strategies can be effective, but the point is to start without the delusion that I'll be able to chip away at everything I'd (in a completely ideal, unrealistic universe) like to have figured out before starting! So, that said...
Mom, look! I have a blog now! Future self - look! You did it! After filing the idea of it away in a dusty cabinet for some time, congratulations on taking the first step.
